Taste of the Nation – Terms and Conditions

  1. Taste of the Nation is an online research community (“Panel”) established by Greggs plc of Greggs House, Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE12 8BU (“Greggs”), primarily for market research and occasionally for marketing purposes.
  2. The Panel is hosted on tasteofthenation.co.uk (Website) and both the Panel and Website are managed and powered by STRAT7 Researchbods, a division of STRAT7 Limited of 98 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8WB, United Kingdom, Company No. 7642707 (Researchbods) on behalf of Greggs.
  3. Please take time to read these Terms and Conditions. By agreeing to become a member of the Panel (Member, You, Your), You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs).
  4. Greggs may amend these T&Cs at any time by posting changes online. As a Member it is Your responsibility to review these T&Cs regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by Greggs. Your continued contribution to the Panel after changes are posted means You have agreed to be bound by these T&Cs as updated and/or amended.
  5. Membership of the Panel entitles You to benefit from various incentives including prize draws, offers and promotions which may be provided by or on behalf of Greggs. Additional terms and conditions will apply to such incentives, and You should monitor the Website from time to time for details. Details of these incentives may also be emailed direct to You. Should You win a prize, Researchbods may provide Greggs with Your contact details in order to arrange delivery. Prize winner’s screenames and prize details will be published on the Winners page of the website. Please rest assured that no other details will be shown.

Your Use of this Website

  1. You will receive regular questionnaires as a Panel member. Your participation on all questionnaires outside the registration survey is voluntary and You may end Your participation at any time. You can unsubscribe from the Panel at any time by visiting the Website or by using the link in email survey invitations.
  2. You undertake that all information you give in relation to the Website will be as accurate as possible. You will be responsible for ensuring that any and all details provided by You to Researchbods (including your email address) are kept up-to-date and correct. Providing false information, or failure to keep your information up-to-date and correct, could lead to Your being disqualified from the Panel.
  3. Once You become a member of the Panel You will have an account and login details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and staying safe online. It is therefore your responsibility to make sure that your passwords are kept secret and strictly confidential. Greggs and/or Researchbods cannot be responsible for any loss or damage that You suffer as a result of someone else accessing them until we are notified that such activity is being engaged in without Your consent. You agree to immediately notify Greggs or Researchbods of any unauthorised use of Your password or any other breach of security You may know about. You are responsible for all posts and all other activities conducted under Your account.
  4. You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of any other party or restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Website.
  5. You must be at least 16 years of age to register with the Panel.
  6. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public or otherwise use this Website content in any way except for Your own personal, non-commercial use. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any of this Website content except for Your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of the Website content requires the prior written permission of Greggs.
  7. Greggs and Researchbods may edit, remove or delete any message or content that they consider to contravene these T&Cs, be unlawful or be otherwise objectionable and have the right (but not the obligation) in their sole discretion to delete, lock or move any such content and/or to edit it provided such editing does not alter the substance of its meaning.
  8. Members may at the sole discretion of Greggs and/or Researchbods be suspended or deleted from the Panel without notice for any reason (for example, if Member has contravened these T&Cs). There is no right of appeal against this decision.
  9. The names, images and logos identifying Greggs or third parties and their products/services that are included on our Website may be subject to intellectual property rights (including, by way of example, copyright, design rights and trade marks) that belong to Greggs or third parties. Nothing contained in these T&Cs shall be construed as grating You any right to use those intellectual property rights.
  10. Analysis tools, including AI, may be used to analyse task responses. Only the necessary data will be processed by AI - the responses posted in the task, user System ID and basic profile data (Age and Gender). The data will be processed within the EU and no data will be stored or used to train AI models.

Your Contributions to the Panel

  1. Where You are invited to submit any contribution to the Website (including text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) You agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant to Greggs a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide, sub-licensable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to Your contribution and/or to incorporate Your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in Greggs Privacy Notice . If You do not want to grant to Greggs the rights set out above, please do not submit Your contribution to the Website.
  2. You also waive any moral rights in Your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the Website and the purposes specified above.
  3. By submitting your contribution to the Website, you undertake that Your contribution:
    1. is Your own original work and that You have the right to make it available to Greggs for all the purposes specified above;
    2. is not defamatory; and
    3. does not infringe any law.
  4. In participating in the Panel, You agree not to:
    1. use the Website to send junk email, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or any other unsolicited messages, commercial or otherwise, post, publish, distribute or disseminate material or information that incites discrimination, hate or violence towards any person or group on account of their race, religion, disability, nationality or otherwise;
    2. threaten, abuse, disrupt, stalk or otherwise violate the legal rights (including rights of privacy and publicity) of others;
    3. use any information or material in any manner that infringes the copyright, trade mark, patent or other proprietary right of any party;
    4. make available or upload files that contain a virus, worm, Trojan or corrupt data that may damage the operation of the computer or property of another
    5. upload pictures with content that is likely to be deemed to be undesirable or offensive by Greggs; or
    6. advertise or offer to buy or sell goods or services for any commercial purpose.

Protecting Your Data

You acknowledge and accept that Greggs and Researchbods may process your personal data from time to time, in accordance with the Privacy Notice.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  1. Please read this section carefully. Nothing in this section is intended to limit any rights You may have which may not be lawfully limited.
  2. The Website may include links to other material or websites which are operated by third parties (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and which it does not control. Greggs is not responsible for the content on these websites or materials or any loss or damage that You suffer by accessing them. Greggs suggests that You take some time to familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions and policies of any third party websites you access from the Website.
  3. The content of the Website, including the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to Greggs (or third parties), is provided without any guarantee, representation or warranty (whether express or implied).
  4. Under no circumstances will Greggs be liable for any loss or damage whether foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise sustained by You in connection with Your membership of the Panel or Your use of the Website.
  5. Greggs does not guarantee that the Website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Website (or the server that makes it available) are free of viruses or bugs.

General

  1. If there is any conflict between these T&Cs and specific terms appearing elsewhere on the Website then the latter shall prevail.
  2. If any of these T&Cs are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these T&Cs are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these T&Cs and the remaining T&Cs shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
  3. Except as set out in paragraph 4 below, a person who is not a party to these T&Cs shall not have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms of them.
  4. Group companies of Greggs and Researchbods may enforce these T&Cs as if it were a party to them.
  5. These T&Cs shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales
